Spring Time Green
Got this dress yesterday and love it. The picture just doesn't do it justice. It is perfect for spring...and my current green obsession.

Things I Couldn't Live Without...

1. Moleskine notebook- goes everywhere with me. Where I jot down ideas, phone numbers, thoughts, and notes.
2. Cover Girl concealer- covers beautifully without looking caked-on.
3. Burts Bees pomegranate lip balm- I'm also a big fan of the original formula, but I like the subtle pink hue of the pomegranate.
4. Stainless Steel French Press- The best way to make coffee. I have this one, and it keeps coffee hot for hours.
5. Method cleaning products- they are all biodegradable and easy on the environment. Plus, they smell great! My favorite product is the sea mineral hand soap.

Food for Thought
I think I am going to give this recipe from Martha a whirl tonight. Seems easy and delicious. Maybe with Jordan's Greek salad recipe? mmmmm. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Picture Perfect
I am in love with this photo. Makes me want to get down in the dirt and plant all sorts of marvelous things... in heels of course.

It's The Little Things
The other day I bought myself a charming oddly-shaped mug that has funny little trees painted all around it. Every time I sip tea from it I become very happy.
My favorite is Tazo passion tea mixed with Tazo wild sweet orange tea. It tastes lively and fresh.

If you're in need of a little inspiration....
This book is wonderful. I urge every writer out there to get their hands on it. It is full of beautiful photographs, inspiring advice, and curious writing prompts.
Spring is here!
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the field has the power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive!" - Eleonora Duse
Spring is here! I am most definitely rejoicing!

The World Forgetting by the World Forgot
"How happy is the blameless vestals lot. The world forgetting by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, each prayer accepted and each wish resigned. " - Alexander Pope
Jake and I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for the millionth time the other night. What a beautiful movie that is.

She Sells Sea Shells by the Sea Shore
I have been lucky enough to live on the coast my entire life. I went to the beach the other day and collected a number of beautiful shells to add to my collection and displayed them in glass jars. They make lovely book ends. If I ever move away from the coast I am happy that I will be able to take a little part of it with me.
Good Fortune
The other day
a man paid me
with two
one-dollar
bills.
Between them
a fortune
from his pocket
That got stuck.
"Soon you will receive good news"
It said.
I am going to believe it.

It All Means Little....
"It all means little, all the painting, sculpture, drawing, writing... It all has its place and nothing more. An attempt is everything." -Alberto Giacometti
So here's to my very first blog. Stay tuned.
